1. Information we process
Alarm and app settings: your alarms, schedules, selected challenges, difficulty settings, and preferences are stored on your device so SmartRise can operate. Some alarm and challenge configuration and usage information is also sent through Firebase Analytics, as described below. You do not need to create a SmartRise account to use the app.
Usage and device information: Firebase Analytics records app interactions, such as alarm creation, alarm times and repeat days, selected challenge types and difficulty, alarm identifiers, time taken to interact with or dismiss an alarm, and free or premium status. The SDK may also process app-instance identifiers, device and app information, and advertising-related information, depending on your device settings and applicable consent.
Advertising information: the free version uses Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, and secure ads. Ad impression and revenue events may also be recorded in Firebase Analytics.
Optional location and weather: when you use weather features and grant location permission, coordinates are sent to WeatherAPI.com to retrieve local conditions. Where coordinates are unavailable, the weather request may use IP-based location. The weather provider receives the network information necessary to handle the request.
Camera challenges: camera access is used to recognize objects and barcodes for your chosen challenge. Camera frames are processed on your device; SmartRise does not upload those frames to our servers. Google ML Kit may process operational and device information under its own terms.
Purchases and support: Google Play processes in-app payments. SmartRise receives purchase information needed to check your entitlement, but does not receive your full card details. If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send.
2. How information is used
We use information to run and improve SmartRise, schedule alarms, provide challenges and weather, recognize purchases, display and measure ads, understand app usage, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as reliability and security, compliance with law, or your consent for activities that require it. A device permission grants access to a feature; it does not replace any separately required consent.
3. Service providers and sharing
Information is processed by providers that support the functions described above, including Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob and its advertising partners, Google Play Billing, Google ML Kit, WeatherAPI.com, and website hosting and email providers. Their policies also explain their handling of information. Premium removes ads; it does not necessarily disable analytics or other network-based features.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. Advertising disclosures may qualify as “sale”, “sharing”, or targeted advertising under some regional laws; available choices depend on your region and the providers involved.
4. Website and cookies
This website does not currently include advertising, analytics scripts, account registration, or nonessential tracking cookies. Fonts and app previews are hosted with the site. Our hosting provider and web server may process standard access and error logs, including IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the website.
Following a Google Play link or another external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. If website tracking or account features are introduced, we will update this policy and provide choices where required.
5. Your choices and rights
You can grant or revoke camera and location permissions in Android settings, skip the corresponding optional features, and use the app’s privacy options where available to review advertising consent. Android and Google settings may provide controls for advertising identifiers and ad personalization. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You can remove locally stored settings by clearing SmartRise’s app data or uninstalling it. This also removes your configured alarms. Android backup may retain or restore eligible app data depending on your device and backup settings; manage those copies through your Google or device backup controls. Removing the app does not automatically delete provider-held analytics or purchase records.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising uses. Contact info@proverbix.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify the request and identify records. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
6. Retention and security
On-device data remains until you remove it or the app, subject to your backup settings. Support correspondence and operational records are kept for as long as needed for the purposes described here, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal obligations. Provider-held analytics, advertising, and transaction records follow the applicable service settings and retention policies; they are not necessarily removed when you uninstall.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. Network services used by SmartRise use HTTPS. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
7. International processing
Proverbix is based in Israel. Our service providers may process information in other countries, including countries with different data protection laws. Where required, transfers must be supported by applicable legal safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your request.
8. Children’s privacy
SmartRise is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in their region. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as SmartRise or legal requirements change. The updated version will appear here with a new date. We will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes where required.
